Reflexology and Anxiety

Updated: Jan 31, 2022

What is reflexology. History of reflexology, how does it work. It's a touch therapy for activating the healing powers of the body and the theory's that there are energy zones that run throughout the body and reflex areas in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to all major organs, glands, and body parts. It is an ancient, dynamic tactile (touch) therapy now rediscovered and refined for our modern time.

The history from ancient texts, illustrations and artifacts has shown us that many early civilisations has incorporate reflexology as we now know it, into their lifestyle. Records are known from early Chinese, Indians, Russians, and Egyptians, that feet have been used throughout history to improve the civilisations health. So, how does it work by apply pressure from the reflexologist's thumbs and fingers to specific area of the feet, hands and or ears to induce a response in the body. The feet are very sensitive and are usually the primary focus to maximise the healing effect
