My Story

My name is Sasha Brittain, and I'm a master's degree qualified counsellor. I provide holistic, trauma-informed, and evidence-based counselling for women, including non-binary, gender-diverse and transgender women. I have a special interest in supporting women who have experienced relational trauma (childhood/attachment and/or adult relational trauma). I place high importance on the therapeutic relationship with clients, and prioritise establishing and maintaining a safe space that prioritises client safety, trust, choice, collaboration and empowerment.

I also have extensive experience supporting women with relationship challenges, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, existential issues and parenting, with a special interest in supporting mothers of autistic children. I use an integrative approach, tailoring interventions based on each client's specific needs and goals. I incorporate a variety of client-centred and evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy. I am passionate about supporting women to improve their mental health, emotional wellbeing and relationships, as well as to develop self-compassion and self-acceptance.
