My Story

I am passionate about helping couples and individuals navigate through their relationship challenges towards living meaningful lives that are empowering and sustainable.  I work with people who yearn to; re-connect with their partner and within themselves, improve their conflict approach, develop open safe conversations, deepen their emotional availability and those who are dealing with loss of trust.

My caring and proactive approach allows you to clarify your perspectives and expectations, to then move towards what you desire from your relationships, life and for yourself.

Every couple and individual is uniquely different and I adopt a blend of evidence based relationship therapy models to suit your needs, I integrate; Emotion Focused Therapy (feelings), Integrative Behavioural Couple Therapy (behaviours), Solution Focused (strengthening strategies), Cognitive Process Therapy (trauma) and Psychodynamic (past patterns).

I work with you, like we’re in a partnership alongside your counselling journey and clients say they find me down to earth, friendly and comfortable to be in session with.

I help couples to:

  • Improve communication

  • Manage conflict

  • Strengthen affection and intimacy

  • Deal with betrayl and trust issues

  • Rediscover connection in a long-term relationship

  • Transition from being a couple to being single and/or co-parents

  • Navigate through separation and divorce

  • Regain self-identity and self-worth

I help individuals to:

  • Develop healthy boundaries before beginning a relationship

  • Explore an existing relationship

  • Past trauma impacting intimate relationships

  • Life transitions and changes

Can I do individual counselling without my partner?

Partners can have individual counselling even if they are in a relationship, or if they are at crossroads within their relationship.   Individual therapy is possible for you if your partner isn’t able to join, or if they want to join another session or if you’re the only one who wants to do therapy.  We can delve into what you would like to strengthen in the relationship with your partner, and clarify what you would like out of the relationship.  You can learn new ways to communicate with your partner and learn how to change the way you respond in moments of conflict.  Individual sessions are also an opportunity for you to work through reassessing the relationship and learning what makes a happy and sustainable relationship, so then you’re able to apply that knowledge to your relationship.
