My Story

When I started studying and working in the welfare sector twenty years ago, I supported people make changes to improve their life and their families.  Over the years, I’ve been constantly astounded at the resilience I see in the people that have endured numerous life challenges and feel privileged to be part of their journey.  I enjoy facilitating change by supporting clients on their personal development journey, either by counselling, hypnotherapy or through workshops for parenting, life skills, personal development and self reflection.


Hypnotherapy has proven to be a beneficial medium to facilitate change over a short period of time.  Hypnotherapy enables you to break old habits, behaviours and beliefs, that are holding you back.  It’s not uncommon to have a few outdated, subconscious patterns that keep you stuck in negative patterns of thinking and behaviour.  Hypnosis can be a bit like having an overdue software upgrade.  I will guide you in the process of changing outdated neural pathways in your subconscious mind and prepare you for building new conscious pathways, in line with your current goals, so that your mind and body are more in harmony with what you want to achieve in your life.  Allowing you to be the best version of yourself, whatever that is: motivated, calmer and in control, confident and happy.

Specialties / Areas of Interest

  • Weight Management, including Virtual Gastric Banding and the WHY program (Weight Hypnosis and You). Do you supersize your meals or regularly go back for more, even when you know you’ve had enough? Or are you comfort eating, snacking extra food after dinner, watching TV or at the computer and between meals; do you have regular food cravings (ie. sweet foods); would you like help to downsize your meals, increase your activity level and reach that ideal healthy weight?

  • GUT healing program – do you have a gut issue and need some help to get back on track, to live a more ‘normal’ life? (IBS, bloating, excess wind, pain and discomfort and weight problems)

  • Personal/Self Development - Improve Motivation; Build Confidence and Self Esteem. 

  • Inner Child work – healing past hurts that hold you back.

  • Stress, Fears, Anxiety and Phobias – Dental Fears; Heights, Public speaking; Study and Exam and Performance Stress.

  • Enhanced CBT (hypnotherapy) for any self-limiting behaviours.
